Welcome
The name of our house is no coincidence: the turquoise-blue Wolfgangsee is right in front of the door, and our large green park offers you enough space to relax away from everyday life. It is a matter close to our hearts to give you a comfortable temporary home, in which you can develop freely and design your holiday to suit your taste. In Seehaus Leifer, just let yourself drift instead of looking at the clock.
A villa with flair
The foundations of Seehaus go back to a Salzkammergut lake villa that was built in 1895. After renovation in 2017, the house is now run by Magdalena Leifer in the third generation. It is located outside the center directly on Lake Wolfgang, only a few minutes' walk from the town center with restaurants and shops. The boat station, Schafbergbahn and “Überfuhr” (shuttle boat for passengers and bicycles) to the other side of the lake are also within easy walking distance. The child-friendly bathing area is right in front of Seehaus and offers numerous water sports opportunities.
There are 15 apartments with a kitchenette and 3 double rooms. Next to a cozy salon with a view of the lake our guests can also use a kitchen with coffee, tea and a vending machine. Our guests are cordially invited to gather in the common area.
Ambience
Our historic villa has graced the shores of the lake since 1895. The charm of bygone times still wafts through their corridors, which we keep alive with the original herringbone parquet, turquoise tiled stoves, magnificent upholstered furniture and characteristic interior. History is reflected in many corners, but no-one here does without modern comfort: That is what makes our Seehaus so special.
Around the lake
If you like the water, the mountains and alpine serenity, you will find a favorite place with us. The area around the Seehaus - from the private park to the bathing area - has various sports and recreational offers ready for you. In addition, you can reach the center of St. Wolfgang and the ship landing stage in a few minutes on foot.
Discover the many facets of the Salzkammergut while hiking, cycling, on a boat tour or on the snow-covered slopes in winter. Whenever you are with us: SO CLOSE TO THE LAKE you will experience an unforgettable vacation.
